GEORGINA FIGHTS BACK AGAINST PROPOSED REDUCTION IN WASTE COLLECTION SERVICES

In a report commissioned by the Labour Council it has been suggested that our weekly bin collections be reduced to fortnightly. Following this news, Georgina and her team have launched their campaign to save our weekly waste collections.

Georgina says, "Just when you think that Labour couldn't mess things up anymore, they manage to out do themselves again. It has became absolutely clear now that they aren't listening to residents when they say they want improvements made regarding rubbish. To change collections to fortnightly when we already have problems with rubbish piling up is a complete joke, only it is not a funny one. I have read plenty of cases across the country, where in areas that have fortnightly collections, there are huge problems with rats. The Council announced a few days ago that they want to spend £10.5 million on re-vamping Centenary Square. Rather than wasting money on vanity projects, it would be more wise to get the basics right first."

Georgina has always been very clear about her views on Labour's record regarding waste collections and will continue to hold them to account until residents get the service they deserve.
