There has been a mixed reaction to the boundary changes from residents and politicians alike. But it is widely acknowledged that the plans announced today are an improvement on the ones issued by the Commission last December.
There have been changes to the boundaries of the wards within the Birmingham Edgbaston constituency.
The key changes are as follows:
1) Edgbaston Ward now includes the surrounding area around Edgbaston Stadium and Tally-Ho
2) Quinton ward loses the B17 section between Balden Road and Lordswood Road to Harborne
3) Summerfield ward is renamed "North Edgbaston" - this will not be part of the Birmingham Edgbaston constituency however.
